Request passport for minors living in Suriname

In order to request a passport for a minor living in Suriname, whose parent(s) or guardian(es) live in the Netherlands you would need:

  • A letter of attorney
    Please note: your signature needs to be placed on the document in the presence of the employee of the Consulate Generale.
  • The child's birth certificate
  • The valid passport or ID of the parent(s) or guardian(es)
  • Cost: €15,
  • Processing time: 1 week

Holders of a Surinamese Passport could visit the Consulate on
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 09 AM - 01 PM.
On Wednesdays, the Department for Passports is closed.

Holders of a Dutch passport or proof of identity need to legalize their signature at the municipality in their hometown.

Please note: documents legalized/issued by foreign authorities must be provided with an Apostille, at the Court from their hometown.
